Hi.

Is there anyone out there who has any memories of the Ford family from Upper End, Pinvin. ?

William Ford and Ellen Ford ( Nee Reed ) were my Great grandparents, they lived in Pinvin for

most of their married life, they were married at the Parish Church by the Rev F.S. Handcock

on  25th Dec 1886. They had seven Boys and one Girl. William - George - Edward Harry

(my Grandfather ) - Charles - Alfred - Ernest - Sidney - & Dorothy.

Sidney the youngest son was for some years a member of the Town Hockey Club

William Ford was born 1865 in Pinvin. He began work Bird minding at  Pinvin when he was seven

years old for about a shilling a week, there was little opportunity to do anything else, there was no

school in Pinvin in those days, he attended a night class in a cottage in the village run by the Vicar

of Pershore. For a number of years he was employed on the Market Gardening Plantations of

Mr M. Dudley Hole.

William & Ellen Ford celebrated their 50th Wedding anniversary in Pinvin in 1936, there was a

newspaper clipping of their celebrations. If there is anyone who has any memories of William

& Ellen Ford or any of their children please get in touch our share them with me.

Sincerely.

Diane de Waal   ( Canada

( Granddaughter of Willam & Ellen's son Edward Harry Ford  Born 1892).
